1) Safety

- Connection to an external fire extinguisher (non included in the supply): the apparatus is equipped with 2 fire sensors;
- Automatic extraction of toxic vapours (before the end of the analysis) from the condensing chamber, with connection to aspirating hood (optional);
-The VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) accessory must be installed to remove any hydrocarbon volatile compounds and safeguard the operator not to expose him/her to toxic or noxious gases. The VOC system output must be connected to a fumes aspirating hood.
- The following error occurs _Flames/Fires_ when it is detected, for example, even the lighter flame. In this case the main supply towards the affected devices is stopped.

2) If some fluid exits from the collection chamber, because the cylinder is broken, the fluid is catched in a trap which protects components in order they not become damaged. The fluid trap has 200 ml capacity and can be easily drained;

3) Measurement optical system compatible with smoke producing samples in the receiver;

4)Graphic control chart on screen;

5) The heating element must operate at low voltage, 24/48 V, power must be automatically adjustable from 0 up to 700 Watts;

6) A bar code reader is available as an optional accessory. The bar code reader allows to insert sample name or number during test set up without any writing mistakes, so that to keep unknown the sample's manufacturer;

7) The apparatus must measure the testing sample load volume before pouring the sample into the flask. The analysis instrument measures the load volume in the receiver's flask and calculate it. If it is not correct (e.g. 98 ml or 101 ml), anyway it reports it to 100% for more precise results.

8)The Quality Control database allows to trace specific results, for example of 5 QC samples of a reference material. Each QC sample should be tested with a different "Quality" product to be stored in a specific database for QC samples. The specified results are set within limits of specifications related to quality product employed for the analysis of QC sample. To visualize the trends you can represent every single specified result for all analyses of a QC sample (analyses with the same quality product) in the form of a spreadsheet or a graph. In graphic form are displayed the min and max specification limits set in the quality product used for the selected QC sample analysis. This allows the lab manager to easily view if the result is within these limits. So, by using a reference product or material, the lab manager can monitor the analysis instrument deviation and decide whether it needs a new calibration.
